You would think it would be easy to find a listing of hospitals and bed types and counts for Ontario. But, I could not find it under Open Data, so I rolled my own. The looking led me to a listing of all the MoH facilities, but not much in the way of details beyond geo- and postal location and a cryptic listing of services. So, I was annoyed just enough to do a database and try to figure out what the Ontario Health system looks like.
This data is also searchable by service details (what service is available at any entity)
This data is also searchable by community name (1 or more leading characters of name of community )
Data is taken as a csv and turned in SQL from a file called Ministry_of_Health_service_provider_locations downloaded from a mapper at Ontario GeoHub.
